Carnitine is a substance that is important to body functions, and is similar to an amino acid. It is in fact synthesized from two different amino acids.

Carnitine neccesary for the bodyto burn fat for energy, which is why companies market it as a fat loss supplement. This is a lovely theory, but does it actually work?

Not really, no. Studies have been conflicting, and most people who try carnitine say it is more of a waste of money than anything else.

Since the science is so sketchy, I simply do not reccomend carnitine, at least not until better studies have been conducted to prove it's worth the $10 a bottle...
